Dog walker in Eindhoven, free
Long work days, busy weeks, tired legs. Find a Eindhoven neighbour who'd love to walk your dog, for free.
Why a neighbour makes a great dog walker
Guauly walkers are dog lovers who don't own a dog, and walking yours is the highlight of their week. They walk for the company, so you can build a relaxed rhythm that suits you both. Walks with community neighbours are free; pro sitters on Guauly charge per night, not per walk.
Walking a dog in Eindhoven: dog fields, lead rules and nature areas
In Eindhoven your dog stays on the lead in the street throughout the built-up area. It can only run free on the dog fields the municipality manages, marked by a sign. The city publishes them on its open-data map, so you can check which field is closest to you. Inside the built-up area you pick up after your dog in every public place.
Outside the built-up area, the city designated eight valuable nature areas in August 2025, Urkhoven among them, where dogs must always stay on the lead to protect the wildlife. Signs at the entrances show where the rule applies. The Philips de Jonghpark was deliberately left out, so it stays one of the city's favourite dog walks.
Because the nearest dog field changes from one district to the next, a walker from your own neighbourhood, whether that's Strijp-S, Woensel, Stratum or Meerhoven, fits into your week most easily. On Guauly, walks are done by community neighbours for free; pro sitters charge per night, not per walk.

Questions owners ask
How often can a Guauly walker walk my dog in Eindhoven?▾
It's up to both of you. Some owners and walkers set up a weekly rhythm (e.g. every Tuesday afternoon), others do it more flexibly. Since no one is being paid, there's no pressure for either side to over-commit.
Can I ask for a specific walker in my Eindhoven neighbourhood?▾
Yes. Browse by area or distance, read profiles, and reach out to anyone you think would be a good fit. You always pick the walker — Guauly never assigns.
What if my dog and the walker don't get along?▾
This is why we always recommend a pre-meeting walk — 20 minutes together before committing. If it doesn't click, no pressure, you try with someone else. The community culture is about fit, not pressure.
